Area of Responsibility III

Implement Health Education Strategies, Interventions, and Programs.

I stupidly bought the Study helps book and wow...it's lame. Kind of helpful but really says a lot of things I already know. I really just bought it for the practice test and there is some really good info and study tips. Just sayin. I could just print it off and give it to Stephanie if she wants to hold it for students in the future. If you want to take a look at it just let me know. I will be taking the practice test next week after I study Area IV because that's our halfway point.

 Great links!

And one last question.  If any of you have taken the practice exam on the CHES website, we are confused over question 14. If you can explain why the answer is B) Formative, we would love to hear why!
Jen and I met tonight and have a few questions we'd like your input on.

Question 42: we were wondering if the answer is C because the other possible answers, A and D, say "in direct proportion to", and that makes those answers wrong?  We're not sure exactly what that phrase is referring to.  Any insights welcome!!

Question 126: We are wondering specifically how B and C are ruled out, leaving D as the correct answer?

Question 112: Looking at the book, it's a little unclear about how B is the right answer and C is not.  We're re-read the definitions in Ch 2, but could use a little more help clarifying.

If you are interested in the Tuesday group...

We are going to read a chapter a week, and answer those questions that pertain only to those chapters.  I made a spread sheet with the questions separated and starting next week we'll be going over chapters 1 & 2 and those questions.  The more brains, the better!

Study Guides

Hey hey everyone! Does ANYONE still need a study guide for the test? If so just contact Stephanie and she can hook you up.

Welcome to the Blog

Hello fellow BYU goers painfully studying for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) Exam. This Blog will simply be fore CHES stuff only. We can post some funny things for relief but it should be only for study helps and questions. Anyone can post, once I figure out how to allow that...but anyone can comment and then we can comment on those questions. I think this is especially a good idea for people who miss meetings. (i.e. I will be missing my meeting today so I will post 5 questions from the last 3 sections of Area of Responsibility 1. Then in another post I will have the answers. I will also post upcoming meeting ideas for the Saturday Group and other materials that I am using to study. I want all of us to have the best chance of doing well on the exam. Good Luck Everyone! Study Ahoy!
